Wedding Make-Up for Wendy Lu

I met Haiping through one of the shoots I have participated in.  I received a call from him asking me to do the make-up for her sister’s wedding.

Wendy (the bride) went for the simple make-up.  She has fair skin, and I decided to use earth tones for her eyes, and light pink lipstick.  Just right for the occasion. The groom just arrived from China and went straight to the hotel for their wedding.

I also did the make-up for the groom, and two other sisters.  They all have fair skin (that’s probably the advantage of having Chinese blood =).  They’re skin is really good and very easy to blend in.

Thanks Haiping for this wonderful opportunity =)

Make-Up for Luisa =)

I received a call from my friend Isang and she asked me to do her make-up because she’s going to attend her cousin’s wedding and she’s hosting the wedding reception.  It was a morning wedding and so I had to wake-up early and rushed to her house at QC.  I have done Isang’s make-up before and it wasn’t a challenge as I already know what to highlight on her.  She has big eyes and I decided to accentuate them even more.  Since it’s a morning wedding, she opted for a simple yet graceful make-up.  I chose the tones of bronze and orange to give vibrancy to her fair skin.

I just grabbed this photo from her Facebook account =)

My Great Indulgence

I love accessories.  May it be jewelries, belts, bags, shoes...  i am working for a manufacturing company of leather and synthetic products.   We have been a regular (and exclusive to some stores) supplier for different department stores nationwide for ladies' and men's accessories (bags, wallets, clutch bag).  I have been a fan (worst - slave) of "borloloys".  I used to manufacture products for a high end store in the country, but when I started working in the corporate world, I quit (which I now regret).

It has been difficult for me to go back.  It wasn't easy, but im taking each step at a time.  Thanks to my loyal customers, and to all those who believe in me.  Thanks to DTI, Chamber of Commerce, and GTH Bulacan for helping me.  Thanks to my wonderful partner who believes in my craft, and criticizes the quality of my products at the same time.  The criticisms make me strive for a better, and hopefully the best quality.

Here are some photos of the products which I and my team have developed.  :)

Nail Spa Photo Contest

Nicole invited me to do her make up since she will be having an official entry in an International Nail Spa Photo contest.  Wasn't able to get the details though =p

It was a studio shoot.  Lighting was really good, but I had to adjust the make up since it (make up) turned super light inside the studio.  I used dark brown for Nicole's eyes, and light pink for her lips, to create a soft notion.

Thanks Nicole for this wonderful opportunity.  It was nice working with you and Haiping. :)

Ms. Psychology

Mae sent me a message and she wanted me to do her makeup for the photoshoot and University of Santo Tomas' Mr and Ms. Psychology Night.  Went to her flat and did the make up for her and her partner.

It was an outdoor shoot, and I decided to use earth tones, with a touch of pink for Mae's lips.  The theme was the movie Way Back into Love.  I tried to give her a fresh look, as I do not want to ruin her very young image.  :)

I also did the make up for her final ramp, but too bad, no photos were taken. grrr.  I forgot my camera, AGAIN!! :(

Here are some photos that i took:

Miko's Graduation Day

Miko came to my house and I did her make-up for her graduation day.  First, I thought of comfort.  She was just going to wear her toga over her school uniform.  I thought of putting very light and natural make-up to enhance her beauty.  She is so pretty even without make-up!  For girls like her, it would be best to keep everything natural.

My bad again, was not able to take photos, so I just grabbed this from her facebook.  Thanks Miko for the opportunity.  Sa uulitin! Congratulations!! :) You're a true-blue HSAian.  Haha.  Loyalty awardee, College of the Holy Spirit.. Hehehe. :D (miko - girl at the right)

Christian and Nina Prenuptial Photoshoot II

Location: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur

These are the photos I personally took during Christian and Nina's prenuptial photoshoot.  I got carried away with the beauty of Ilocos, and I almost forgot that I am a make-up artist and I need to take nice photos for my online portfolio.  I was not able to take nice close-up photos that'll show my work more vividly, my bad! :(

Alright, just to give justice to my palpak diskarte, here are some photos that made me say "ey, not bad for an amateur photographer, right?". :)
