Effortless Make Up

Red lipstick can make your face all glammed up without putting so much effort. I confess that during my lazy days, red lipstick s my best friend. To achieve a fabulous make up without going overboard, here's how:

Sanitize, cleanse, tone and moisturize. Apply liquid foundation, concealer and pressed powder. After doing my skin, eyebrow is next. Click here for the eyebrow tutorial.

For my eyes, I use a light shade of brown just to give a little color to my lid. What I have in my make up kit are In2it eyeshadow palette and Coastal Scents 88palette.

I use any of the two when I'm wearing red lipstick. See the shades below.

Using my small eyeshadow brush, I put a little amount on my lid.

The key is to blend. Blending makes everything perfect. Brush back and forth.

Eyeliner is next. I use Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner for my everyday use. But I'm planning to switch back to my old favorite which is Kate by Kanebo as soon as I finish this one =)

Then curl and put mascara. I discovered this cute all black curler from Sasa. Result is quite good.

Maybelline Magnum volume for my lashes.

The key for wearing red lips is to keep everything minimal. I remember doing a post for make up balancing here.

For the lips, I use Revlon Matte in Wine Not.  I condition my lips using Nivea in Strawberry.  Then I rub gently using tissue to remove excess grease since I am using a matte lipstick.

I skip using blush since I only want to highlight my lips.

Keep this in mind, if you go out of the house, you don't want people to get confused on which part of your face to look at. The main purpose of make up balancing is to highlight one or two parts of your face and leave the rest bare. Having too much color on your face is not good.

For red lippies, here's my top pick:

Revlon Wine Not
Nyx Black Cherry
Nyx Decadent
Cover Girl #968

I'm planning to purchase MAC Diva, and another red lipstick from Chanel soon. =)
