Put a Little Sweetness to Your Rockstar Attitude

I woke up having the same dilemma that I experiece every single morning - I got nothing to wear. My closet is full but I still experience this irony. Anyway, since last night I have been thinking to wear my pastel blue pumps. But I am definitely not in the mood to wear something all pastel and all sweet-looking. Soooo I just came up with this outfit. Just right for a lazy Saturday. =)<

Happy Year of the Dragon!!

Jay and I have been strolling around Orchard for the past few days. Price reductions are on every store. But what caught my attention is the huge dragon along Orchard. I really had to stop and take a photo. What popped into my mind was, "busog na naman for sure si baby dragon sa tummy ko". Hahaha. I've been eating a lot but I have not gained weight since I moved to sg. Maybe because the walking started again, and my schedule has been unfriendly to me for the past months. But this year, I promise to do everything that I could to gain some weight =)

Promise to make 2012 my year! Hehe.
Happy New Year!!! =)

New Year, New Life

I have gone through drastic changes in my life in the past four months. I know this blog is supposedly for my online portfolio, but now i am restructuring it to turn it into my personal blog. I have put so much effort in this blog since I created it and i believe it deserves to make it live again.

I am about to rest from wedding contracts. I am about to finish the last contract I have signed prior to leaving for Singapore. Yes, I am back in Singapore for a full time job. Many people would ask me, but I honestly had a thorough conversation with my boyfriend and with my parents before I came up with  very big decision.

I was starting my career as a professional make up artist. Everything started well and I was overwhelmed with the appreciation and trust that my friends and people who have known me through this blog. I will forever show my appreciation to them for letting me be a part of their big day and trusting my hands to touch their faces on the most special day of their lives. But after all the contracts and inquiries, I have decided to take a rest.

The decision has been made with happiness and without any hint of regret. Everything is God's will and things happen for a reason.

I am currently working for an International brand of furniture and  I must say, this is more than I ever hoped and prayed for. I have been feeling lost in space before I left the country and I was in so much trouble dealing with some personal stuff. I thought I was going to die (exaggerating). But heaven has showered me with so much blessings after screwing up, after so much heartaches, and after a glass-full of tears.

I have so many things to be thankful for. I carry with me each day all the learnings that this world has taught me. I might have "slightly" given up my dream, but God has given me more than what I ever prayed for. It made me realize that sometimes, you have to let go of something precious in order to have a room for the best things.

It's heartbreaking for a temporary goodbye. But at least I am not putting an end to this dream. There are just more important things that I need to accomplish. My craft would definitely find its way. After all, I have been loyal to it and I have put my heart and soul in every face I touch.

New year, new life =)

Excited Much

My new babies =) from Jay.haha =))

He always jokes about giving me skate shoes, which he knows that I couldn’t wear because yeah, basically, I’m not into it. I am into sneakers but really not into bulky shoes. But I promised him that I would wear sneakers that he will choose for me.
When we were going around the mall, I spotted a really pretty pair at CMG. It was made of washed canvass, but looks distressed. I asked him if he could buy the pair for me, he said yes right away but asked me to choose another pair because he thinks that it doesn’t look good and looks old (well that’s the concept behind “distressed”). Since he’s paying for it, I let him choose what he wants me to wear. I thought he was going to choose nice flats for me since he always wants to see me in flats, never in heels. But to my surprise, he chose this pair for me. He must be in the process of tolerating what I want =p Thanks for the pretty pair of wedge, Ny =) Can’t wait to match them with the clothes in my closet. Oh, and btw, I just realized that it’s the same color combination that Jay chose for my room when I had it repainted last year =)

Wedding Entourage - Anne Franco's Wedding

Anne is my classmate in primary school.  She sent me a private message in FB (she saw my Hair and Make Up Services Album) and asked if I could do the make up for her entourage.  I said yes right away.  =)
Was surprised that 3 ladies who were part of her entourage are our batchmates (Mabel, Irene and Judith).   Haven’t seen them for ages!  The moment I saw them, I screamed in excitement! =)
It was indeed a happy, and memorable experience for me as a make-up artist, doing the make-up for my long lost friends =)

Thanks for the wonderful opportunity and Best wishes to Anne and Art! =)

Fashion Shoot at Mr. Ed Sarao's Ranch

Had the opportunity to have a shoot with LPCC once again.  =)

I have been doing wedding make-up but I really miss fashion photoshoots like this =)

Mavs Llanez - Alvarez Wedding

I met Mavs through my friend, Janelle.  She was looking for a make-up artist and Janelle referred me to do her make up for wedding.

She was supposed to have her trial hair and make-up but she had super busy schedule and she just opted to meet me on her wedding day itself.  Thanks Mavs for the trust! :D

Mavs has very nice skin.  I didn’t have a hard time doing her make-up since she just wanted the “fresh” look.  She also chose her hairstyle.  Her hair is uber nice!  The texture and hair color just suits her personality.

Wedding Make-Up for Wendy Lu

I met Haiping through one of the shoots I have participated in.  I received a call from him asking me to do the make-up for her sister’s wedding.

Wendy (the bride) went for the simple make-up.  She has fair skin, and I decided to use earth tones for her eyes, and light pink lipstick.  Just right for the occasion. The groom just arrived from China and went straight to the hotel for their wedding.

I also did the make-up for the groom, and two other sisters.  They all have fair skin (that’s probably the advantage of having Chinese blood =).  They’re skin is really good and very easy to blend in.

Thanks Haiping for this wonderful opportunity =)

Make-Up for Luisa =)

I received a call from my friend Isang and she asked me to do her make-up because she’s going to attend her cousin’s wedding and she’s hosting the wedding reception.  It was a morning wedding and so I had to wake-up early and rushed to her house at QC.  I have done Isang’s make-up before and it wasn’t a challenge as I already know what to highlight on her.  She has big eyes and I decided to accentuate them even more.  Since it’s a morning wedding, she opted for a simple yet graceful make-up.  I chose the tones of bronze and orange to give vibrancy to her fair skin.

I just grabbed this photo from her Facebook account =)
