I would love to do a review and tutorial about the awesome Jumbo Eye Pencil from Nyx.
Soon! =)
Tuesday In Midnight Blue
If I want to go for the elegance, midnight blue is one of the colors I would choose. This dress is very simple. The pleats made it all classy and grand without going overboard. I paired with a stunning silver necklace and I'm good to go. The best thing I like about this type of dress,it's very easy to match with anything and I just love how easy and comfortable I can wear it.
My pair of Pedro heels is overused. I have been using it at work because I love the comfort it is giving me. The type of job that I have requires me to walk here and there and I really could not afford to have painful feet.

Skin Care
My current moisturizer is about to finish and I wanted to look for a new product. As we age (oh! I hate the word!), our skin will be having different needs. My skin is not sensitive but I confess that for my day moisturizer, I tend to switch after I finish one pack because I haven't met my perfect partner in keeping my skin's moisture (I have dry skin but oily in my nose area). I have been eyeing for Avene. I have no plans of purchasing yet until Jay told me that he needs a moisturizer, but I could not share with him the one I'm using because it has touch foundation and his face is very sensitive and I don't want to take the risk. So I thought that this would be the perfect time to buy a new moisturizer. We immediately went to Watson's. I have been walking pass drugstores everyday and I knew that Avene is currently having a promotion. I immediately asked the beauty consultant on which product to use. Since I have a combination skin type, she recommended light hydrating cream with spf 20 for morning use. And since they are having a promotion, I opted for this package.
The pack comes with full size Thermal Spring Water Spray, Light Hydrating Cream and Soapless Foaming Gel. All together at $59.90.
I have tried the Soapless Foaming Gel last night and the result was really amazing. My skin felt really smooth. The hydrating cream works perfectly well too. I put it before applying make up this morning. 5 hrs has already passed and my skin still feel fresh and hydrated.
I am feeling very lazy today, hence wearing a very light make up!
Blessed Sunday everyone! =)

Fashion Saturday: Lace On Lace
I never thought lace on lace would work. I was supposed to wear my black basic tee to pair with this vintage skirt but after searching and finding the right piece, I came up with this.
I love how this detachable collar matches perfectly with my top and blends very well with my vintage skirt.

Neon Friday
Make life more colorful!
I am not an Apple user but I'm enjoying my Android phone so much with features like in instagram. There are many cool applications that Android phone can offer. Plus the mere fact that blogging has been made easy for me! Just click and share!
Since it's Friday and most people are dressing down, I decided to go with the flow. My Bubbles blue necklace is my current favorite. The color is so vibrant that you can wear it with any top. I love how it adds attitude to my tank top. It's soooooo sunny outside and the comfort that this neon top is giving me is simply amazing!

Wednesday Make Up
I am feeling a little girly today. Wearing one of my favorite dresses, I decided to be a bit softer in my make up especially my lips. No to red lippies today! Dark brown and gray for my eyes, thicker eyeliner both on upper and lower lid, plus light pink lippies in matte.
Just nice for a gloomy Wednesday!

Happy Balentayms Day!
At dahil balentayms day ngayon, I am dedicating this blog post to my one and only love and the sweetest person on earth! Moony/Jay/Poter/Junjun/Toloinks, this is for you!
We are all inlove. It may not be with a specific someone, but each and everyone of us is inlove with maybe, family, job, friends, craft, talent or special someone. Everyone deserves the feeling of being in love. And each and everyone of us should accept the fact that in being inlove, we should also be ready to get hurt and accept each other's differences.
When I met Jay, I was a total maarte, kikay and notice-me-dahil-makulay-ang-face-ko type of girl. I should be, I sacrificed my savings and spent it to make up school and case-full of pampaarte because I have always been inlove with make up. When Jay and I got together, it wasn't an issue at first. Then he started telling me that he likes me more when I practice simplicity. Meaning, no make up at all. I followed him at first because I wanted to please him. Then suddenly I felt that I am losing some part of me. Gradually, I learned wearing a bit of here and there make up each day. I told him that I'm a pro, it's a must especially if I do weddings, and it's also a must at work because I look like a 16-year old when my face is bare and if I don't dress up. Then I noticed him gradually accepting what I want. I agreed with him when he said that I can wear make up, but without blush. He said that I look best with neutral eye make up and natural red lipstick. Then one day I heard him suggested, "pwede bang mag make up ka na eyes lang yung nakafocus. Yung pag tumingin sayo, sa eyes mo lang mapapatingin". I was shocked. But I was secretly smiling and replied, "smokey ba?" Hahaha this is it!
That's how love works for the two of us. He likes some stuff that I don't like or I am not keen on, but we try to make sure to meet half way. I just learned that it's not everything about being alike all the time. Understanding and respecting each other's interest is the best thing I can offer to him and to our relationship.
And because I love you and nothing means more to me than seeing you happy, 2nd of March is a date. Yes, we are watching Foo Fighters concert together! =)
Thank you for supporting my craft, thank you for telling me that I look pretty and gorgeous and thank you for all the sweet patawa jokes you make in public =) I love you Moony!

Chanel and Dior
I have sinned again. But I am more than happy purchasing these Chanel and Dior lippies.
If you are looking for orangey-gold lippies, Chanel Rouge Allure Emotion is my bet. I spent a lot of time looking for the right color. The whole time I was thinking of summer. I already have tons of pinkish-nude lipstick and I don't pay much attention to orange. I am not sure if I can be daring enough to try bright matte orange lippies, so I just opted for a shimmery orange with gold undertone. I am just sooooo in love with the packaging! Push and pop! It's motion apparently shows that it is a high-end product.
Dior Addict in 535
Dior is very light pink with shimmer. Just right for summer!
Good thing about Chanel and Dior, they are long-lasting. Plus a clap clap for the expensive-looking packaging. =)

Bride: Yanna Lopez
Yanna opted for a simple day make up for her wedding. For the hair, she has sent me hair pegs and I knew it would definitely suit her. I used shades of brown and pink as I thought it be the most agreeable colors for her personality. Simple and sweet, Yanna was definitely a star on her wedding day. I first met her during her trial make up and at first glance, I already knew what would suit her. She opted for airbrush make up and updo.
Thanks for the wonderful opportunity Yanna! Have a great married life to you and Gene =)

Rebellion
I went to Vivo City this afternoon to meet up with my uncle and aunt who are here in Sg for a visit and for Star Cruise (which btw i'm planning to do soon). What to do in Vivo? Nothing else but to shop! I immediately went to Mac after meeting up with my relatives. Three shades I tried was Rebel, Hang up and Diva.
REBEL WINS! I am just madly inlove with the shade! It's plum and uber gorgeous!
I also purchased this cute Kabuki brush at Sephora.
I promised not to buy make up until next month, but, oh well, I'm a rebel. =)))

Michelle Nail Color
I have been craving for this shade and I finally found it!
I have not used Michelle Nail.color before, but when I tried it at Beadstreet last night, I noticed it's quick dry. If it will last long, I don't know yet. Will give it a try and will make a review soon =)

Steakout
After celebrating the Holy Mass, Jay and I were trying to find for a place to chow. We attend the mass at the Cathedral of Good Shepherd and always end up eating at either at Bugis Junction or any hawker within the area. We always pass by this steak house but for practical couple like us,not everyday is steak day! Haha. I don't exactly know what happened but when we passed by, we got curious and looked closer at the menu. Then I told Jay that the price is comparable to Mcdonalds and Burger King! So we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, food is really great and we ended up scratching our tummies again. Here's what we had: Mushroom soup
Flame grilled chicken in barbecue sauce with mashed potato and french fries for me Deja vu in black pepper and mushroom sauce for Jay, with baked potato amd brocolli And whoa! The super yummy lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert! Oh life!!! =D

Dinner At Swensen's
Jay and I was thinking of what to do and where to go. It was CNY and most of the shops were closed. We just had dinner at home (i cooked pasta and he liked it very much-yey!) and we can't think of a place to go. We were too lazy to go to the city, we just found ourselves walking around Northpoint to kill time. Then we decided to eat again. How good is that?
It was a bit pricey (well, for kuripots like us), but it was all worth it since we came out with our tummies really full and we just decided to have a walk and little kwentuhan before we headed back home.
Effortless Make Up
Red lipstick can make your face all glammed up without putting so much effort. I confess that during my lazy days, red lipstick s my best friend. To achieve a fabulous make up without going overboard, here's how:
Sanitize, cleanse, tone and moisturize. Apply liquid foundation, concealer and pressed powder. After doing my skin, eyebrow is next. Click here for the eyebrow tutorial.
For my eyes, I use a light shade of brown just to give a little color to my lid. What I have in my make up kit are In2it eyeshadow palette and Coastal Scents 88palette.
I use any of the two when I'm wearing red lipstick. See the shades below.
Using my small eyeshadow brush, I put a little amount on my lid.
The key is to blend. Blending makes everything perfect. Brush back and forth.
Eyeliner is next. I use Revlon Colorstay liquid eyeliner for my everyday use. But I'm planning to switch back to my old favorite which is Kate by Kanebo as soon as I finish this one =)
Then curl and put mascara. I discovered this cute all black curler from Sasa. Result is quite good.
Maybelline Magnum volume for my lashes.
The key for wearing red lips is to keep everything minimal. I remember doing a post for make up balancing here.
For the lips, I use Revlon Matte in Wine Not. I condition my lips using Nivea in Strawberry. Then I rub gently using tissue to remove excess grease since I am using a matte lipstick.
I skip using blush since I only want to highlight my lips.
Keep this in mind, if you go out of the house, you don't want people to get confused on which part of your face to look at. The main purpose of make up balancing is to highlight one or two parts of your face and leave the rest bare. Having too much color on your face is not good.
For red lippies, here's my top pick:
Revlon Wine Not
Nyx Black Cherry
Nyx Decadent
Cover Girl #968
I'm planning to purchase MAC Diva, and another red lipstick from Chanel soon. =)
